We have an added a short-term rental for under 6 hours (including set up and clean up). To qualify as a short term rental, these events are to clear the building before 8 PM and must be alcohol-free.
The Madison American Legion Post, located on Thrift Road, may be rented for community and private functions, such as birthday parties, family reunions, wedding receptions, club meetings, retirement parties, office meetings, or other private parties. If you plan on serving alcohol, we do require a banquet license - Virginia ABC FAQ's here
Please note, we do not rent the facility to individuals or organizations
who plan on selling tickets for entry to the general public.
The Home has a large room that can accommodate up to 200 people and use of its tables and chairs. White twinkle lights have been installed along each wooden ceiling beam which enhances your special occasion.
Least expensive place in downtown Madison to rent for what you get!

Please check the events calendar for possible availability. If there is an entry on your desired date for an event at the post, it would probably not be available for rental. However, the lack of an entry does not mean that it is definitely available for that date. Get your reservation in early to guarantee your spot.
IF YOU WISH TO USE THE PAVILION, now that the property has been transferred to us, follow the same process for using as for renting the building.
